Gardens on Tenth Marks Year End ; Recognizes

Board of Directors for Gardens on Tenth
The Board of Directors for Gardens on Tenth hopes to fill the Altona apartment complex by the end of the year. This goal, along with the organization’s financial statements, were highlighted at an annual general meeting Thursday.
Currently 59 of the 66 suites are filled and the Board is offering incentives to get occupants in the remaining 7 apartments. As a bonus, tenants who sign up before December 31, 2016 will not have to pay the first two months rent.
Also at Thursday’s AGM, the Board of Directors recognized Menno Friesen, who headed up fund raising efforts for the project, for exceeding $3 million in fundraising.
Board Chair David Wiebe was also recognized for “tirelessly” leading the project.
